澳大利亞政府目前處于大選之前的看守政府時期。新政府宣誓就職前,政府運作將按照看守慣例進行。

Typhoon? Heatwave? Cities are where we often experience the effects of climate change first hand.  This puts them at the forefront of dealing with the effects of climate change challenges.

University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Centre for Cities’ Shared Pathways project connects local government officials from Australia and China to encourage cooperation.  The exchange of ideas and recognition of city officials at the frontline of climate action emphasises the importance of global cooperation and knowledge-sharing in the fight against climate change.

In Shared Pathways , city officials from Australia and China undertook online training and exchanges before coming together in two separate workshops in Melbourne and Hong Kong.  Participants from both workshops were then chosen to attend COP28 in Dubai in November 2023.

The National Foundation for Australia-China Relations is pleased to support this initiative, showcasing Australian efforts in working towards its Net Zero goal and a sustainable future.
